What We Do
Auburn's Veterinary Community Practice is just like any private practice, but within the walls of the veterinary teaching hospital. Community Practice is a primary care facility offering a team approach to pet care for those within a 30-60 miles radius of Auburn. A patient care team made up of clinicians, interns (veterinarians seeking advanced training), and veterinary students work together to provide the optimal health care for your pet.
Community Practice provides our fourth-year veterinary students with a unique opportunity to experience the operation of a general veterinary practice under the guidance of full-time faculty veterinarians, while also providing the surrounding community with quality care for companion animals.
We see dogs and cats for routine appointments including annual examinations and vaccines. We see sick animals, perform basic surgeries, and dental procedures.
Community Practice also offers help with behavior problems. One distinct advantage to coming to Community Practice at Auburn is the opportunity for an in-house referral to any of the specialty services if the need arises. We provide comprehensive care for you and your pet!
No referral is needed to schedule an appointment with Community Practice.
