Job Description

MOBILE, ALABAMA -Are you ready to practice cutting edge medicine at a high quality small animal practice?  We have a busy small animal practice in the heart of the Tennessee Valley.  Recently ranked as the most educated city, in the world.  Yes, that is a world ranking, Huntsville Alabama is a cosmopolitan city that continues to defy the current recession.    Home of Marshall Space Flight Center and a thriving Army base local industry also includes Research Genetics, Military Support Contractors and many web based businesses. 

The hospital currently employs four veterinarians and is planning to hire an additional team member who can appreciate cutting edge medicine and surgery, wants to learn from some well-seasoned practioners and is willing to make lasting client connections.  Total staff number is currently at 27.  Our clients demand the latest and up to date medicine and surgery.

The clinic is over 10,000 square feet and is stocked with the latest equipment and some of the finest registered technicians and well-seasoned veterinary assistants.  The practice has digital radiography, an endoscope, 2 Vet Test and a Heska chemistry, QBC, an ultrasound with Doppler, complete plating and pinning surgical equipment not to mention cryosurgery and more. 

Although primarily a small animal hospital we have treated the occasional reptile, goat, bird and cow.   Exotics and large animals could definitely expand the practice if someone had a special interest in these species. 

We offer a good salary with a great % production bonus for any veterinarian who is willing to work.  Starting salary is dependent on experience and a possible bonus is calculated every three months.   Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medical and Dental Insurance are available.  Vacation and paid continuing education round out some of the many benefits provided.
