Performs responsible administrative work in assisting the Dean of Science and Technology in formulating, implementing and evaluating the Veterinary Technology Program, including supervision and direction of faculty and staff related to the program. Manages all class and cooperative education scheduling and registration activities, as well as oversight of college animals and farm facilities. Formulates, implements and evaluates the procedures and standards of the Veterinary Technology program. Supervises, evaluates and promotes on-going professional development for faculty and staff to insure technically sound instruction. Recruits, interviews and recommends for hire all faculty and staff for the Veterinary Technology program. Supervises related Professional Support Staff. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, D.V.M., plus three years teaching experience and administrative responsibility or comparable experience. Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others. Requires technical communication skills to deal with veterinary technology faculty and other health professionals and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
