Diagnostic Pathologist The Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (WVDL), part of the University of Wisconsin, has a full-time position available at the Veterinary Specialist Senior or Advanced level beginning fall of 2014.  The primary responsibilities of this position are anatomic diagnostic pathology, i.e., necropsy, histopathology, and requesting-interpreting appropriate virology, bacteriology, chemistry/toxicology tests, etc., and case coordination and consultation with referring DVMs and other animal health professionals/groups.  This position is located in Barron, WI, at our satellite laboratory.  Most of the case load is animal agriculture associated, e.g., poultry, calves, and cows, and interest-expertise in this area is required.  Some administrative duties may be included with this position.  Applicants must have a DVM degree or equivalent from an AVMA accredited program, and a minimum of two years of formal training in veterinary anatomic/diagnostic pathology.  Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists is preferred but not required.  This individual will work with microbiologists and staff at the Barron laboratory, and will also have significant opportunity to interact with the Madison, WI staff including veterinary pathologists, virologists, bacteriologists, and consultants.  10/1/2014
