AURIC Research Symposium

“The event is free and open to anyone interested in cancer research,” said AURIC director Dr. Bruce Smith, a professor in Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. “We invite presenters who would like to talk about their research, as well as any interested research or medical professionals.”
AURIC was formed in 2012 and uses private and state funds to award grants to support research among its membership. Based in Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, its mission is to improve both human and animal health by fostering an environment of excellence in cancer research and promoting research that enhances competitiveness to advance the understanding of the biology of cancer. AURIC’s membership is comprised of some 170 faculty and student researchers and involves collaborators from among nine AU colleges and schools.
