Robert Allen Kennis, DVM, MS, DACVD

Dermatology

Dr. Bob Kennis received his veterinary degree from Michigan State University in 1989.  After two years in private practice he returned to Michigan State for residency training in dermatology.  He then moved to the island of Oahu, Hawaii to pursue private specialty practice.  Three years later, he was recruited by Texas A&M University as a clinical instructor.  While at A&M he completed a master's degree in the field of veterinary immunology.  In Septermber of 2005 he moved to Auburn University and currently holds the rank of Associate Professor.  Dr. Kennis is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and is a member of the American Association of Veterinary Dermatology.  He has presented numerous continuing education seminars at the state, national and international levels.  He has received several teaching awards including the Norden Distinguished Teacher award and the Texas A&M Association of Former Students distinguished achievement award.  His research interests include canine food allergy and feline bacterial infections.

Canine adverse reactions to food, endocrined skin disorders.
