Dr. Newcomer completed his undergraduate studies at AndersonUniversity in Anderson, Indiana in 1998. After receiving his DVM from the University of Florida in 2002, Dr. Newcomer joined a large dairy practice in central California and practiced dairy production medicine for two years. He then served with Christian Veterinary Mission in the Central African Republic for two years assisting pastoralists and small farmers with their livestock. Dr. newcomer then rejoined his prior dairy practice in California for two years before coming to AuburnUniversity as a clinical instructor to pursue a Ph.D. in infectious disease of cattle. He currently serves as a Clinical Instructor in Food Animal Medicine at the Large Animal Teaching Hospital at Auburn University.
