James G.W. Wenzel, DVM, MS, PhD, DACT, DACVPM (Epidemiology)

Dr. Wenzel was born and raised near Paducah, Kentucky. He has received education and professional degrees from Sewanee, Paducah, Murray State, Auburn University, University of Georgia and University of Minnesota. In 2001 he served on the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Eradication Campaign in the United Kingdom. He is currently serving as Associate Professor at Auburn University JT Vaughan Large Animal Teaching Hospital.

In 2001, Dr. Wenzel served in the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Eradication Campaign in the United Kingdom. He has also served as instructor in Agricultural Emergency Response Training at the Center for Domestic Preparedness, Department of Homeland Security.

Dr. Wenzel is a competitor and coach in the United States Cycling Federation and has raced throughout the USA, and in Ukraine, Austria and Belgium.
