Instructor, Large Animal Anesthesia

Glen Sellers performed undergraduate studies at Auburn University from 1994-1998.  Between 1998 and 2006, he gained invaluable experience in pharmacology and anesthesia as a technician in the Auburn University Large Animal Clinic providing care for both equine and food animals.  While working as a technician, Glen Sellers began a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences in the fall of 2002 and earned his Master’s of Science degree from Auburn University in fall of 2006.  In the spring of 2009 he  also earned a Master’s of Business Administration from Auburn University.  Glen Sellers now provides clinical service in anesthesia to the large animal teaching hospital.

Research Interests

  • Veterinary clinical anesthesia
  • Pharmacokinetics of anesthetic drugs
  • Pain management in large animal species.    

I have collaborated extensively with Dr. Lin and other Auburn clinicians and examined the pharmacokinetics of ketamine and lidocaine in dairy cattle, gabapentin for pain management in horses, and isoflurane vs. sevoflurane in small ruminants.
