Pete W. Christopherson, DVM, PHD, DACVP

Dr. Peter W. Christopherson, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathobiology, earned his DVM from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001. He began a combined clinical pathology residency and graduate training program at Auburn University in the fall of 2001 and trained under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth Welles, Dr. Mary Boudreaux, Dr. Joe Spano, and Dr. Julia Blue. Dr. Christopherson received board certification by American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2007. In 2008, under the direction of Dr. Boudreaux, he earned a PhD in research describing the clinical, biochemical, and molecular basis for Glanzmann Thrombasthenia in horses. He subsequently joined the faculty at Auburn University at the end of 2008.
