Giving To The College

As a state-assisted institution, Auburn depends on financial gifts from alumni and friends to provide the best environment possible for your pet’s health care and for our students, faculty and staff.  

Gifts (which may be in the form of cash, securities or real estate) may be made to the Auburn University Foundation, 317 South College Street, Auburn AL 36849. 

In terms of a stock gift, your wise market investment is a smart way to support Auburn University. By donating the financial instrument, you avoid long-term capital gains tax and deduct the full market value on your tax return. It is almost always to your advantage to transfer appreciated securities to the Foundation directly, rather than selling them and giving cash. We can provide transfer information to your broker.
