Responsibilities: The Associate Dean’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: promotion of an environment supportive of the College’s mission and vision; participation in the development, implementation, and evaluation of College policies, procedures and guidelines; development, maintenance and monitoring of fiscal resources in collaboration with the Dean and Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies; support of educational incentives; facilitation of development, review, and revision of academic curricula at the course, discipline and program levels to assure quality and relevancy; promotion of partnerships with constituents in external educational, professional and business communities; collaboration with other educational institutions on workforce development needs; monitoring to assure compliance with state and national accreditation standards; participation in mediation of faculty and student grievances, appeals and other issues; and oversight of student services, recruitment, admission, retention and graduation.

About the Area: The College of Veterinary Medicine is located on the edge of the Auburn University campus, in the east central Alabama community of Auburn-Opelika. Qualifications: The College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University invites applications from qualified and creative individuals for the position of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. The successful candidate must have a distinguished scholarship record sufficient to merit appointment with tenure at the rank of Full Professor. The candidate is required to have a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, experience in leadership roles in the academic environment and evidence of scholarship/research and teaching at the university level.
