Neurology/Neurosurgery Internship Position Job Descriptions:

Job Description

The successful candidate would become part of the Auburn University Neurology/Neurosurgery service, and will participate in seminars with other interns/residents.  The neurology/neurosurgery rotation receives 12-15 scheduled cases a week plus emergencies from veterinarians throughout the southeast United States.  The rotation is staffed by two ACVIM-Neurology board-certified senior clinician, one neurology resident, house officers (residents and interns) rotating from other disciplines and three dedicated licensed technicians.  The service is supported by a full-service radiology section, full-service electrodiagnostic instrumentation and a surgical theater that allows for a wide spectrum of spinal and intracranial procedures. 

This position is open to individuals with a DVM, VMD, or equivalent foreign degree.  We seek individuals who have completed a rotating small animal internship and are seeking additional training in preparation for application to a neurology/neurosurgery residency position.  Individuals with proven publication experience and a positive background in clinical proficiency are especially encouraged to apply.
