Veterinary Anatomic Pathologist

Job Description

The Department of Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn University, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor.  Minimum qualifications include a DVM degree (or equivalent) and a Ph.D. degree in veterinary pathology or allied discipline.  Desired qualifications include diplomate status (or eligibility) in the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, commitment to excellence in instruction, strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and a record of research achievement.


The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the anatomic pathology service, train residents and graduate students, teach in the professional curriculum, and contribute to the research mission of the College.  Responsibilities will include approximately 75% instruction and clinical service and 25% research.  Starting salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with academic credentials and experience.  Review of applications will begin June 1, 2013 and continue until a candidate is recommended for appointment.  Applicants should submit a letter of intent, statement of career goals, curriculum vitae, transcripts, and the names and contact information for three references to Dr. Russell C.
