The Awards Committee of the Alumni Advisory Council of Auburn’s College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking nominations for the 2012 Wilford S. Bailey Distinguished Alumni Awards. 

The committee meets in April during Annual Conference to review nominations and select deserving recipients in recognition of their outstanding achievements to the veterinary profession. The recipients are to be honored in May during the college’s commencement ceremony.

NOMINEES

There are three areas of eligibility for the awards:

1. Academia
2. Private Practice
3. Other, Research, and Public Policy (including service in government, industry, and the military)

The candidate must be a living alumnus of Auburn’s College of Veterinary Medicine. This includes not only those who obtained professional degrees, but also those who received advanced degrees.

The nominee should be known for his or her accomplishments in veterinary medicine and/or have made an outstanding contribution to his or her community and the advancement of animal and human health.
