Dr. Wilford S. Bailey, a veterinary parasitologist, held a 50-year continuous faculty appointment at Auburn University after receiving his veterinary degree in 1942. He served in positions ranging from instructor to university president.
The Awards Committee of the Alumni Advisory Council is seeking nominations for the 2010 Wilford S. Bailey Distinguished Alumnus Awards.

The committee meets in April during Annual Conference to review nominations and select deserving recipients in recognition of their outstanding achievements to the veterinary profession. The recipients are to be honored May 11, 2010, during the college's commencement ceremony.

There are three areas of eligibility for the Alumni Awards:

  3. Research and Public Policy (including service in government, industry, and the military, etc.)
