Southeastern Raptor Center Hosts Two Events in Columbus, Georgia

The Southeastern Raptor Center, part of the College of Veterinary Medicine, heads to Columbus, Ga.,  May 7 and 8 for a raptor program and a raptor release. 

The program takes place May 7 at 12:30 p.m. at Soldier Field at the National Infantry Museum at 3800 South Lumpkin Road. During the educational program, attendees will enjoy flight demonstrations and see birds of prey in close view.

On Saturday, May 8, at 10 a.m., Liz Crandall presents a program with birds and discusses rehabilitation before a raptor is released at Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center.  Oxbow Meadows is a regional, hands-on nature center located at 3535 South Lumpkin Road.

The Southeastern Raptor Center has a mission of rehabilitating injured or orphaned raptors, educating the public, and researching new aspects of raptor biomedicine.
