Graduate Program Admissions Requirements
Minimum admission standards for the M.S. and PhD degree programs regarding grade point average, graduate record examination (GRE) scores and TOEFL scores are consistent with Auburn University Graduate School requirements. The minimum admission requirements for international students are a GRE Quantitative score of at least 500 (or a Verbal plus Quantitative score of at least 800) plus TOEFL score of at least 550. GRE scores and undergraduate grades of applicants from the U.S. are coverted to a formula score that differs slightly for each college. In addition, candidates may be required to meet other basic qualifications relative to educational background (e.g. DVM degree or equivalent from an institution accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association), discipline emphasis, and research interest.
Applicants to M.S. degree programs in the College are reviewed and approved at the departmental level. The college has a single PhD degree program which is administered interdepartmentally. Applicants for the PhD program are also screened at the departmental level but official review and approval occurs through the college's PhD Advisory Committee.
For additional information please contact Dr. Anne Wooldridge, Graduate Programs Officer.
There are at least nine graduate courses taught by faculty of the Large Animal Teaching Hospital in addition to Seminar courses, special problems courses and research and thesis credit courses.
