Dr. Bruce Smith, in collaboration with Dr. D. Duan of the University of Missouri, has recently been awarded grants from the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the National Institutes of Health to develop adeno-associated viral vectors for gene therapy of muscular dystrophy.
