Lee County Courthouse
Open Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This working courthouse located in Historic Downtown Opelika across from Courthouse Square is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The renovated structure was built in 1896 in the neoclassical revival style. [more]
The Opelika Northside Historic District
This Opelika neighborhood features turn-of-the-century homes restored to their original grandeur. Home of the Victorian Front Porch Christmas tour. Driving and walking tours for groups available through the Tourism Bureau. [more]
Opelika Train Depot
Built about 1920 and recently restored to its original style. Houses the offices of the East Alabama Arts Association and Opelika Mainstreet. [more]
Pebble Hill
Built in 1847, Pebble Hill was once the home of Colonel Nathaniel J. Scott. Today, it is home of the Auburn University Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities, which hosts periodic programs on art, history, literature and more. [more]
Tiger Trail of Auburn
Every year since 1994 the Auburn Chamber and the Auburn University Athletic Department have joined together with the Auburn community to honor outstanding athletes, coaches and administrators who have distinguished themselves during their time in Auburn. The Tiger Trial of Auburn began as a vision of the late Ken Brown, a leader in the Auburn Community. Each honoree is a source of pride to the Auburn family. Every fall during the height of football fever in Auburn, a new class of honorees is inducted into the Tiger Trail during a breakfast induction ceremony. Each inductee is presented with an engraved granite plaque to be placed in the sidewalk of downtown Auburn among the plaques honoring other Auburn greats. 96 of Auburn’s athletic elite are now part of the Tiger Trail. Toomer's Corner
The main intersection of Auburn and Auburn University where Auburn fans and friends gather to celebrate everything from athletic victories to the new year.
