Application Information

Application:   The deadline for applications for Fall 2009 is  October 1, 2008.  All applicants must apply through VMCAS. 

That application can be found at:  http://www.aavmc.org/vmcas/vmcas.htm


OfficialTranscripts for all applicants should be mailed to and received by October 1st.  The address is:

Alabama and Kentucky residents should send transcripts immediately after fall semester as well.  Non-resident/Non-contract applicants should not send fall transcripts.


Accepted Students:  Applicants who are accepted are required to submit the official application for admission to Auburn University.  Students who have not previously attended Auburn University or Auburn University at Montgomery are also required to submit a university processing fee of $25.00 along with the application for admission to the professional program if admission is offered.


Residency implications: Priority is given to Alabama residents. Auburn contracts with Kentucky for 34 positions. Up to 10 non-resident students are accepted. Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine does not offer admission to international students or transfer students from another College of Veterinary Medicine.
  • KENTUCKY STUDENTS: Please contact your Kentucky pre-veterinary advisors by October 1 to document your Kentucky residency.  If you have questions contact the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (KCPE) at (502) 573-1555. 

Supplemental Application

Supplemental application requirements: The Supplemental Application for 2009 link is active.  It is a form that can be completed on-line and printed for submission.   The supplemental application should be submitted when your VMCAS application is submitted and received by Auburn no later than October 15th.
