NOTE: This Endocrine Diagnostic Service web site contains information about specific endocrine tests including interpretation of results and answers to frequently asked questions. Web site access is provided as a service to all of our clients. Please contact the lab at 334-844-5400 or email (endo@vetmed.auburn.edu) to obtain information about access.

This Service provides hormone testing primarily for practicing veterinarians, from anywhere in the USA. We also measure hormones for researchers using samples from non-traditional veterinary species. Please contact us by phone or email for more information or to become a client.

The Service is closed during Auburn University Holidays:  Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the period from Christmas through January 1st.

Tests Offered

Thyroid:  Total T4, Total T3, Free T4 by dialysis, Canine TSH, Thyroglobulin Autoantibody, Thyroid Profiles (Canine and Feline)

Adrenal:  Cortisol (ACTH Response, Dexamethasone Suppression), Urine cortisol:creatinine

Other Hormones and Tests:  Insulin, Fructosamine and Canine Trypsin-Like Immunoreactivity (Canine TLI), Endogenous ACTH* (new submission form is available on this web site), Progesterone
