Follow these steps to set up your computer to use the Form Generator macros.

  1. Right-click "Network Neighborhood" on your desktop.
  2. Click "Map Network Drive..."
  3. Select drive "S" from the drop down list.
  4. Type "\\dbmacro\acc_macro" in the "Path" field.
  5. Make sure "Reconnect at login" is checked.
  6. Hit "OK."
  7. Download the setup.zip from the link below to your desktop.
  8. Unzip the setup.zip file. It contains a folder with 3 files.
  9. Run the Setup.exe program in the Setup folder you unzipped.
  10. Follow the prompts to install MacroUtility. All the default values should be fine.
  11. Important: Close all sessions of MS Word before continuing.
  12. Find MacroUtility.exe on your start menu and run it.
  13. Hit the "Install" button. MacroUtility will install the FormGenerator macros.

Setup.zip

Congratulations. You are ready to use the Form Generator Macros. Press "Alt+R" in MS Word to view the instructions for the macro. Press "Alt+F" in MS Word to run the "GenerateForm" macro. Each of the Form Generator macros may be accessed from the "Macros" dialog box under "Tools/Macro/Macros" on the MS Word menu bar.

NOTE: I have noticed MacroUtility.exe fails to work on some machines. To date, I have no explanation for this odd behavior, however I am working on it. If you run into errors, contact the Computer Group help. Also, sometimes the HotKeys for the macros do not take. Again, I have no explanation for this as of yet. Word macros can be finicky. To use the macros without HotKeys, click Tools/Macro/macros on the Word menu bar.
