Referral Information

The Large Animal Teaching Hospital accepts cases originating within a 50 mile radius of Auburn without referral, while encouraging referral to support regional practitioners who may fall within that area. Cases outside that radius should be referred. In the event a case arrives without referral, the owner is asked to identify their local veterinarian of choice who will then be listed who will be listed as the corresponding referring veterinarian. The client will be encouraged to seek referral in future cases.

Clients and referring veterinarians are encouraged to present cases of non-emergency status for admission by appointment during normal working hours. A summary of the case report will be sent to all referring veterinarians.
