Multi-Media Overview

Multimedia Systems
Computers are installed in the Greene Hall lecture rooms, Overton Auditorium and Room 144 in the Large Animal Clinic. Similar computers are installed in the Student Computer Lab.

The computers can access the college's networks and the Internet, and can present word slides, C.A.I. lessons, graphics, images, AVI and QuickTime animations and video, and MPEG1 or MPEG2 digital video. They also can control the videodisc players.

The similar computers in the Student Computer Lab are setup to run the same software as in the classrooms. In addition, the lab provides students with access to their own accounts on the University computers.

We can also help you convert existing videotape into MPEG digital video.  Contact Dr. Branch (branch@auburn.edu) if you have any comments or suggestions regarding the classrooms or lab.
