Applicant Information:
Application: Student applicants must identify, in order of preference, three faculty mentors they wish to work with (see accompanying list of faculty mentors and their research projects) and prepare a paragraph stating why they are interested in participating in the Program, as well as career goals and pertinent background information. Students are encouraged to contact the faculty members in which they show an interest in working with prior to submitting the application. After you have determined your choices, complete the Application Form and send electronically or print the Application form and return it to the Office for Research and Graduate Studies, College of Veterinary Medicine, 106 Greene Hall, Auburn University, Alabama 36849-5517. Applications are due on or before February 4, 2008.
Review Process: The Summer Research Fellowship Committee will review applications and match students with faculty mentors as closely as possible to the matches requested. Preference will be given to students who have a genuine interest in obtaining a research experience but who have not had the opportunity to participate in the past.
Successful applicants will be notified by March 10, 2008.
