Research Training
UNDERGRADUATE TRAINING
The Scott-Ritchey Research Center welcomes undergraduate students interested in research to apply to individual laboratories for laboratory rotations. Rotations should be arranged by contacting individual faculty of the Center with whom you are interested in working. Students interested in either Cell and Molecular Biosciences Program undergraduate research fellowships or the Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program (URP) are encouraged to consider Scott-Ritchey faculty as potential mentors
VETERINARY SUMMER SCHOLARS
The Scott-Ritchey Research Center is an active participant in the College of Veterinary Medicine's Veterinary Scholars Research Program. The Center encourages applicants from any accredited college of veterinary medicine who are interested in research on health problems of dogs and cats to apply through this program. Applicants should discuss their interest with their potential faculty mentor within the Scott-Ritchey Research Center prior to submitting an application. Applications must be submitted through the Veterinary Scholars Research Program web page.
GRADUATE STUDENT TRAINING
The Scott-Ritchey Research Center is active in graduate education. Students interested in applying for admission to a graduate program that would allow them to pursue research within the Center should apply to either the Cell and Molecular Biosciences Program or the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program. Students interested in identifying a mentor professor or laboratory rotations should contact individual faculty.
POST-DOCTORAL TRAINING
Post-doctoral training is an integral component of the Center's research training. Opportunities for postdoctoral fellowships are periodic. Openings within the Center are listed here.
OTHER
A variety of other research training opportunities exist , ranging from research training for graduate veterinarians and physicians to opportunities for appointments for faculty interested in spending a sabbatical leave at the Center. Individual faculty should be contacted for more informatiuon.
