Equine Critical Care Visiting Hours

  • All visitation must be scheduled with the Clinician or Resident on the case.

Visitation Procedures:

  • All visitors to the Large Animal Teaching Hospital must check in at the admissions desk.
  • Visitors will be given a visitor badge to wear during their visit
  • Individuals without a badge will be sent to the front desk to obtain a badge
  • We request that visits do not exceed 2 hours 
  • Please have any treats or feed approved for your horse.  Your horse may be on a restricted diet due to their illness
  • Please obtain permission from your clinician before taking your horse out of the stall to walk or hand graze
  • Please do not wander through the equine barns for the privacy of other owners as well as in respect of our biosecurity protocol
  • Dogs are not allowed in our equine facility. Your pet can board temporarily in our small animal facility until your visit is concluded.
