VWMS Officer Nominees

President-Elect
Dr. Bonnie Campbell

Dr. Campbell is currently assistant professor of small animal surgery at Washington State University. She holds Morris Animal Foundation grants for the study of feline gastrointestinal disease and canine gastroenteritis and adenocarcinomas. Bonnie has been active in continuing education, primarily in the discipline of wound healing and wound management. Bonnie also currently serves as the North American site supervisor for the online wound healing forum that the VWMS now shares with the European VWHA.

Dr. Mark Bohling

Dr. Mark Bohling is assistant professor of small animal surgery at the University of Tennessee's college of veterinary medicine. Dr. Bohling completed his surgery residency and PhD at Auburn University before joining the faculty at the University of Tennessee. He has been a member of the VWMS for several years. He has a strong interest in wound management and has published on the subject to include refereed articles and book chapters. His PhD dissertation compared feline wound healing to canine wound healing.

Dr. Wayne Waguespack

Dr. Waguespack is assistant professor of equine surgery at Auburn University since 2007. He was previously an assistant professor at Louisiana State University before joining an equine surgical practice in Birmingham, Alabama. He has an interest in wounds, and has published on the topic of intestinal anastomosis and adhesion formation in horses.
