Parvin Animal Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their growing, fast-paced small animal practice in Spanish Fort, AL.
About us: Parvin Animal Clinic is a well-established, drug free, state-of-the-art veterinary practice in Spanish Fort, part of the Eastern Shore of Baldwin County. The location was established as a veterinary clinic in the 1990s and Dr. Parvin has been on site since 2001. Spanish Fort is located only 1 hour from Alabama’s gulf beaches, 10 minutes to Mobile, and 40 minutes to Pensacola, FL.
We are open Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, closed on weekends except for boarding drop-off and pickup at designated times. After-hours emergencies handled in a call rotation with 3 other clinics and a 24-hour emergency clinic in Mobile.
We have a team of 10 plus caring individuals. Equipment includes: paperless Avimark practice management software, DR digital x-ray, dental xray, ultrasound, therapy laser, Bovie cautery, anesthetic monitoring, high speed dental equipment, and Idexx in-house analyzers. We are a full service practice offering small animal medical and surgical services. We take pride in practicing excellent medicine and customer service. We are dedicated to providing the best care to see pets through every life stage and to help clients make the best decisions for their beloved pets to ensure a long, happy and healthy life, while providing a professional and welcoming environment for pets and owners.
Skills and Qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university; licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Alabama; professional attitude, behavior and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude; compassionate team player with the ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members; respect for team members, clients and their pets; who can uphold great reputation with clients; a commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Job Responsibilities: Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort; communicate to the client the diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines, parasite prevention, and appropriate nutritional products; maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient; stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend continuing education meetings; positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public; treat every client like family and each patient like your own.
