Liquid PCR Sample

1. Collect fresh liquid specimen (e.g., cerebrospinal fluid, joint fluid, milk, sputum, urine, EDTA-blood).
2. Immediately fill liquid specimen into the supplied sample submission vial, adding the sample to fill up to the orange line printed on the label. The tube is designed to accept a maximum of 700 μl sample liquid, but less sample does not interfere with nucleic acid extraction.
3. Tightly close the screw cap making sure that the O-ring seals, and immediately mix thoroughly by vigorous shaking or inverting vial 10 times.
4. Record specimen on Submission Form and ship vials at room temperature using the enclosed shipping labels.
