Clinical Pathology Residents
Thainá Lunardon, DVM
Thainá was born in Curitiba, PR -Brazil, and is a 2019 graduate of Tuiuti University of Paraná in Brazil. After graduation, Dr. Lunardon completed her Clinical Pathology Internship and stayed as a Clinical Instructor of Clinical Pathology at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine (2019-2020). She began her Clinical Pathology Residency and combined PhD in the fall of 2021. Thainá enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family, reading books and visiting new parks and lakes.
Cornelius Withers, DVM
Cornelius Withers was born and raised in Tuskegee, Alabama and attended Tuskegee University for his undergraduate studies (2010-2014) and veterinary school studies (2013-2017). After graduating in 2017 Dr. Withers completed a one-year clinical pathology internship at Tuskegee University (2017-2018) and a rotating small animal internship at Wilson veterinary clinic in Romeo, Michigan (2018-2019). Cornelius returned to Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine as a Clinical Instructor of Clinical Pathology in 2020 for six months before joining as a Clinical Pathology resident in a combined clinical pathology residency-PhD program. Cornelius enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 fur babies, playing tennis, and watching football.
Emily Zuber, DVM
Emily Zuber is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate studies (2010-2014) and Kansas State University for veterinary school (2015-2019). After graduating veterinary school, Dr. Zuber was in small animal general practice in Dallas, Texas for two years. She then completed a one-year clinical pathology internship at Kansas State University (2021-2022) before joining as a clinical pathology resident at Auburn. Emily enjoys hiking and trail running, going to concerts, and spending time with her fiancé and two cats.
