International Veterinary Student Externship Program
The Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine’s International Veterinary Student Externship Program (VSEP) aims to enhance professional development for veterinary students from our international partner institutions with an active international Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This 2-3 week program consists of didactic and observational class activities specially designed for international students to learn about veterinary medical education in the United States.
This program is available for students currently enrolled in our partner institutions listed below. A B-1 visa is required to enter the United States. Airfare, housing, visa-related fees, meals and incidentals, as well as a $200 per day program fee are the responsibility of the participant (waiver opportunities may be available for daily program fees). Academic credit will not be issued for program participants; however, a certificate of participation can be requested (additional fees apply). Program participants will not work or earn income while in the US and patient contact is not allowed.
