AUCVM Diagnostic Imaging Club
Group Description:
AUCVM’s Diagnostic Imaging Club helps you learn about different diagnostic imaging modalities through lunch meetings and hands-on labs. You can test your knowledge and perfect your techniques with one-on-one time with our great veterinary faculty and residents.
Principle Activities, Events, or Programs:
The Diagnostic Imaging Club offers monthly lunch meetings to strengthen students’ knowledge on various imaging topics. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a live animal ultrasound lab each semester. During Open House, we offer presentations on our in house CT, MRI and Linear Accelerator machines.
How this group’s activities benefit the profession, university, and community:
The Diagnostic Imaging Club is open to all AUCVM students who wish to learn more information concerning radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound. The live animal ultrasound lab allows us to ultrasound our own dogs to practice our diagnostic skills. This club gives our students more hands-on experience and practice before entering clinical rotations.
