Dr. Richard Hopper grew up in Brandon, Mississippi and received his DVM from Auburn in 1978. Following graduation, he was in private practice in Oneonta, Alabama for almost 15 years, joining the faculty at Mississippi State’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. He became a Diplomate in the American College of Theriogenologists in 1995. He edited Bovine Reproduction (Wiley- 2014) and is currently working on the 2nd edition. He joined the faculty here in 2019. He and his wife Donna have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
