Biography

 

Dr. Amanda Lamarca received her DVM from the University of Paraná in Brazil. Following graduation, Dr. Lamarca worked at Purdue University, where she performed research with the NMDA receptor antagonist MK801 to reduce dendritic spine density and stability in zebrafish pyramidal neurons. Subsequently, Dr. Lamarca completed a one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. She also completed a one-year Emergency and Critical Care Specialty Internship at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Pullman, Washington. She is currently completing a one-year specialty internship in Neurology and Neurosurgery starting in July 2023.
