Dr. Kelsey P. Legendre, Clinical Lecturer in Pathobiology, joined Auburn University in the fall of 2018. She earned her D.V.M. from Louisiana State University School in 2015, and then continued at LSU to pursue a combined clinical pathology residency & master’s program in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences. Her graduate work within the Vector-Borne Disease laboratory involved characterizing the transmission mechanism of Rickettsia felis to vertebrates. After completion of her residency and graduate work, she went on to receive board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2018.
Dr. Legendre’s main interests include diagnostic cytopathology, hematology, clinical chemistry, and immunocytochemistry/cytochemical staining. She is active in teaching second- and fourth-year students, with an emphasis on case-based learning and clinically-relevant pathology.
