Biography

 

Dr Serrano Ferrel is originally from Mexico city. She obtained her Veterinary Medicine degree at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Later on, She worked as a research scholar at The Ohio State University where she become interested in heart failure animal models and then completed a master’s degree in Cardiovascular Science at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany in 2020. She also worked at the German Primate Center and Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization while she was in Germany. In 2021, She moved to the United States to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Kansas State University prior to joining to Auburn University for an ECC specialty internship. Afterwards, she is interested in pursuing a Cardiology Residency Program. Her interest outside veterinary medicine include traveling, dancing and meditation.
