Biography

 

Dr. Thungrat joined the APP faculty in 2018 as a pharmacology lecturer. She received her D.V.M. degree in 2006, and M.S. degree in Pharmacology in 2008 from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She completed her Ph.D. degree in 2015 in the field of Pharmacology. Dr. Thungrat was a member of the faculty at Chulalongkorn University for two years prior to her return to Auburn. She  became a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology in 2021.

Dr. Thungrat is a pharmacologist at the Clinical Pharmacology Laboratory. Her responsibility is a therapeutic drug monitoring service to veterinary practices. Her research interests focus on molecular pharmacology and population-based pharmacokinetics on anti-seizure drugs and immunomodulators.
Currently, Dr. Thungrat is studying the pharmacogenetics of anticancer drugs for canine mast cell tumors and cannabinoid receptors in dogs and cats.

Dr. Thungrat teaches Principles in Pharmacology to second-year veterinary students.

Research Interests

 

Her research interests focus on molecular pharmacology and population-based pharmacokinetics. Currently, Dr. Thungrat is studying the pharmacogenetics of anticancer drugs for canine mast cell tumors.
