Biography

 

Dr. Tillson earned the Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University in 1983, a second bachelor’s degree, in animal science, from NC State, cum laude, in 1984. He completed a Masters of Science degree at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University, and the DVM from North Carolina State University.

He was a clinical instructor in Small Animal Surgery at Washington State University and completed a residency in Small Animal Surgery at Kansas State University.

He joined the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine faculty in 1995, as an assistant professor and currently holds the Arthur and Louise Oriole Professor.

Research Interests

 

Cardiovascular Surgery/Cardiovascular modeling, Transplantation biology/Renal transplantation/Mechanisms of immunologic tolerance, Instruction in general surgery and soft tissue surgery.
