Gus

Gus was transferred to the center in 2014 by another educational facility. He was bred in captivity and hatched in 2008. Since he is captive bred, he cannot be released and will spend the rest of his life in captivity. As one of our raptor ambassadors, he greets tour groups that visit us, travels with us to off-site presentations, and flies at some of our shows. He can be very vocal and always flies to the door of his enclosure when he hears people approach. Gus weighs around 480 grams and has about a 3 ft. wingspan.
