Phantom

Phantom came to the center in June of 2020. He was captive bred at a facility in Missouri to be used as an educational ambassador. As a human imprint, he is non-releasable because he has no fear of humans and associates them as a food source. Phantom is still a young Barn Owl and has a lot to learn. You will begin to see him at many of our presentations as we get him used to flying in front of crowds. You might hear Phantom before you see him because he is one of our more talkative raptors. Phantom weighs about 410 grams and has a 43-inch wingspan.
