Stephanie R. Mitchell

Stephanie R. Mitchell began her career in veterinary medicine at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine Small Animal Teaching Hospital as a student worker in the critical care unit. After receiving her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Snead State Community College, she became a Licensed Veterinary Technician and returned to the Auburn CVM critical care unit as a shift supervisor. She later joined the college’s small animal anesthesia service before becoming the sole ophthalmology technician in the combined small and large animal ophthalmology service. Currently a Veterinary Technician Specialist I, Equine Ophthalmology, she has served as Vice President of the Alabama Veterinary Technicians Association and was chosen as the Alabama Veterinary Technician of the Year in 2007. She has also twice been the recipient of the Auburn CVM’s “Be the Creed” award.
