2019 Summer Teaching Institute will take place on Friday, July 26, 2019. This one-day teaching enhancement seminar is designed for all faculty, residents, interns, and graduate students of AUCVM as well as TUCVM. Our keynote speaker and workshop instructor will be Dr. Andrew West, BS, MEd, PhD. Dr. West is currently the Director of the Academy for Teaching and Learning at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biological Sciences. The seminar will be held in Newsom Auditorium, on the second floor of the small animal teaching hospital, and will run from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. There is not a charge for this seminar, however pre-registration is required.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Andrew West, MEd, PhD
Andrew West is the Director of the Academy for Teaching and Learning in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. His role includes working with faculty to develop innovative approaches to sustain and promote excellence in educational programs and to make improvements in areas identified by faculty, students, alumni, employers and the veterinary profession. Prior to joining CSU, Andrew was an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Western Kentucky University. Andrew holds an MEd and PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri and a BS in Biological Sciences from Montana State University.
