Clinical Pathology Residents

Erin Kilbane, DVM
Erin is originally from Massachusetts, where she completed her BS in Animal Science, Pre-Vet at The University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2006. She then received her DVM at Oklahoma State University in 2014. She spent several years working in various practice settings (small animal, shelter, urgent care) before completing a clinical pathology internship and starting residency training at Auburn. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Bridgette Murphy, DVM
Bridgette completed her DVM at the University of Melbourne, Australia (2018 – 2021) and began a rotating internship at Veterinary Referral Hospital (2021 – 2022) in Melbourne, Australia. She worked in small animal general practice in Fitzroy, Australia (2022 – 2024) before moving to Auburn to begin the clinical pathology residency in 2024. Bridgette loves reading, film, music and the outdoors. She is enjoying the southern hospitality and culture of Alabama and is looking forward to exploring more during her time in the U.S.

Izel Kong, DVM
Izel is originally from Singapore and received her DVM from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia in 2022. She worked in small-animal general practice in Singapore for three years before moving to Auburn to begin a clinical pathology residency in 2025. When not at work, Izel enjoys baking, drawing, video gaming, and photography.

Guinevere Nease, DVM
Guinevere is originally from North Carolina, where she completed both her undergraduate studies in Animal Science (2014-2018) and veterinary school (2019-2023) at NC State University. After receiving her DVM, she completed a one-year rotating internship at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2023-2024). She then spent a few years working as an urgent care veterinarian in North Carolina and Georgia before starting as a clinical pathology resident at Auburn. She enjoys crocheting, video games, and spending time with her partner, pets, and family.
