Biography
Dr. Jenna Bayne, a native of Red Deer County, Alberta, Canada, loves all things livestock. Following graduation from the University of Saskatchewan, she undertook a surgical internship followed by a residency in internal medicine and is a boarded diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (food animal focus). Dr. Bayne’s graduate work focused on the acute phase response and sickness behavior in beef cattle, and she received her PhD from Auburn University in 2017. Dr. Bayne has experience in large animal private practice and tertiary referral practices, teaching, and various collaborative research efforts. Clinical and research interests include internal medicine and surgery in livestock species, including emergency medicine, gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases, neonatology, diagnostic imaging, and lameness. Dr. Bayne is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine Large Animal Hospital, serving as a clinician in the farm animal medicine and surgery service.
