Biography
Dr. McIver received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She also received her Master of Public Health degree from K-State in 2021.
She went on to Auburn University where she completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery rotating internship in 2020. She remained to complete a residency in Comparative Anesthesia and Analgesia and a master’s degree in biomedical sciences in 2023.
Dr. McIver achieved Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia in 2023.
She spent a year in a private practice at a small animal specialty hospital and then accepted a faculty position at Auburn University as an assistant clinical professor in 2025.
Her research interests include the effects of anesthesia on ocular health and local block techniques.
