Biography

 

Dr. Kaur is a Public and One Health Lecturer in the Department of Pathobiology. She received her BSN from Panjab University in India in 2008, her MPH from Kansas State University in 2012, and PhD in Public Health from Florida International University in 2018. Prior to joining Auburn University, Dr. Kaur worked as an Epidemiologist Supervisor at the Alabama Department of Public Health and managed programs for vectorborne diseases and healthcare associated infections. Throughout her academic and professional career, Dr. Kaur has been heavily involved in multidisciplinary public health research. She highly values the role of transdisciplinary knowledge and collaborations in understanding and addressing public health challenges and strives to use it as a guiding principle for educating and mentoring students. Dr. Kaur lives in Auburn with her husband and daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and reading.
