Biography

 

Dr. Lazarowski joined the Auburn University faculty in 2020. She received a B.A. in 2007 in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, followed by a Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on animal cognition and behavior in 2010. She then joined the department of biomedical sciences at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine as a Research Specialist studying behavior and olfaction in dogs. Dr. Lazarowski then completed a Ph.D. in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences from Auburn University, studying cognitive development in detection dogs. Following her Ph.D., Dr. Lazarowski completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship with Auburn University’s Canine Performance Sciences, and in 2020 joined the APP department as Research Assistant Professor with a joint appointment as Chief Scientist with Auburn University’s Canine Performance Sciences program.
