Biography
Dr. Munguia hails from Southern California where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Ca. He then moved across North America to complete his veterinary degree at the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in beautiful PEI, Canada. Dr. Munguia then went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at Purdue University where he developed an interest in emergency medicine. After working in an emergency private practice for a short while, he elected to pursue a residency in emergency and critical care to expand his knowledge and abilities. Dr. Munguia completed a residency in Emergency and Critical Care alongside a Master’s Degree back at Purdue University.
Dr. Munguia has a strong interest in student and house officer training and is excited to continue to improve these skills. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his two 4-lb Chihuahuas (Shunt and Shrek), biking, kayaking, and motorcycling.
